| Comprehensive Investigation Of Ternary Fuel Blending: Characterizing Hydrogen-ammonia-methane Combustion At Elevated Pressures Through Experimental And Numerical Approaches. | We are seeking applications for a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) who will also enroll as a PhD candidate for the project titled "Comprehensive Investigation of Ternary Fuel Blending: Characterizing Hydrogen-Ammonia-Methane Combustion at Elevated Pressures through Experimental and Numerical Approaches." Project Abstract: This research project addresses the challenge of sustainable power generation in Malaysia, aligning with the nation's goals of reducing carbon emissions by 45% by 2030 and achieving Net-Zero emissions by 2050. The focus is on understanding the combustion complexities of hydrogen, ammonia, and methane blends at high pressures, a crucial but understudied area for practical applications. The objectives are to characterize these fuel blends using both experimental and numerical approaches, with detailed analysis of ammonia-methane, hydrogen-methane, and ammonia-hydrogen-methane blends. Advanced optical and laser diagnostics, along with Large Eddy Simulation (LES) in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), will be utilized to gain a comprehensive understanding of combustion dynamics under high-pressure conditions.
